2022 Bay County SHRM Chapter President

Greetings!

I am extremely honored to serve as Bay County SHRM’s 2022 President and to be affiliated with such a group of dedicated and hard-working professionals. Needless to say, the past few years have demonstrated the tenacity and resilience of our membership.  In what seems like yesterday, we experienced a category five hurricane and now find ourselves in the middle of a global pandemic.  I’m pretty sure we all would agree that we could have lived without the hurricane recovery and pandemic expertise that we have now gained.

Our chapter is excited to have resumed in person meetings.  Like many of you, I have missed the warmth of connecting with others, especially my fellow HR colleagues. I encourage you to give yourself a break from your busy schedule and join us at our monthly meetings, which will expose you to new and innovative ways to enhance your knowledge, your career, and your organization. As an approved provider with both SHRM and HRCI, we are pleased that we can assist you in obtaining recertification credits with our educational sessions. I look forward to seeing you at the Destination Panama City Welcome City on the 4th Thursday of each month from 11:30am - 1pm.

In 2022, we will continue to focus on our membership, which means YOU!  We have scheduled meaningful programming and networking opportunities that will contribute to your professional development. In addition, we have some exciting service initiatives planned that will allow our membership to showcase their skills and experience while giving back to our wonderful community. We also have a few surprises planned for you along the way; one of which includes Johnny C. Taylor, SHRM President & CEO as the closing keynote speaker for our upcoming Leadership Summit on May 12, 2022  We also plan to continue our new membership incentive program where you can earn raffle tickets for a chance to win some pretty cool items at the end of the year.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer leader, please contact a member of our board of directors or come to one of our chapter meetings. We LOVE our volunteer leaders!!!  We are also always looking for intriguing speakers and meeting sponsors. Please let us know if you are interested.

I look forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming chapter meetings. Please feel free to contact me at president@baycountyshrm.org if there is ever anything that I can assist you with.

Warmest Regards,

Stephanie Conn, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
